Douglas County Payroll Division

The Clerk/Comptroller is responsible for processing payroll for all full-time, part-time and temporary county employees. In October of 2002, there were 1,894 full time staff and 133 part time staff. Many Douglas County offices utilize temporary employees during the summer months to help ensure adequate staff coverarge during heavy vacation time, so the number of temporary employees fluctuates throughtout the year.

Douglas County utilizes an automated payroll system. Payroll records are kept as permanent records, and salaries of all County employees are public records.
