An amusement license can be obtained:

• By any person, firm, partnership, corporation or other entity.
• For a mass gathering, open to the public, to be held outside the limits of any incorporated city or village in Douglas County.

The County Clerk/Comptroller's office must receive the completed application and $10 fee at least 45 days before the date of the gathering. The County Clerk/Comptroller will then request input from other county offices as required.

A notice of application will be published for two consecutive weeks (once a week on the same day for two weeks) in a legal newspaper in the County. This notice will give the time, date and place for the County Board's public hearing to consider the application. The applicant shall agree to pay the cost of publication.
