Amusement
License
An amusement
license can be obtained by any person, firm, partnership,
corporation or other entity for a mass gathering, open to
the public, including and without limiting the generality
thereof, carnivals, circuses, fairs, festivals, music festivals
and other amusements, to be held outside the limits of any
incorporated city or village in Douglas County. The terms
of this license shall be in compliance with State Statute
23-813-817.
The
completed application and $10 fee must be provided to the
County Clerks Office a minimum of 45 days before the
date of the gathering. Upon receipt of an application for
an amusement license, the County Clerk will request input
from other County offices as required and shall publish
a notice of said application for two consecutive weeks (once
a week on the same day for two weeks) in a legal newspaper
of general circulation in the County, giving the time, date
and place at which said application will be considered at
a public hearing by the County Board. The applicant shall
agree to pay the cost of publication of the public hearing.

Locksmith
License
The
applicant must complete an application for Locksmith Registration
Certificate which must be signed and dated by the applicant.
After
the application has been complete, return the application
to our office at 1819 Farnam, Room H08, Omaha, NE 68183
along with the $5.00 fee and we will process your Locksmith
License request. The County Clerk must sign the Locksmith
License and the seal must be affixed for the license to
be valid. The license will be sent out by certified mail.
After
selecting the Locksmith
License Application, the application will load into
Acrobat Reader, which will allow you to print.
Special
Designated Liquor License
The
fee for a Special Designated Liquor License is $40.00 per
application payable to the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission.
The fee must accompany the application when it is submitted
to the County Clerks office. Special Designated Liquor
Licenses are limited to six days per year per applicant.

application for a Special Designated Liquor License can
be obtained from the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission.

The
application needs to be submitted in duplicate. In addition,
you should include the application, fee, sheriffs
letter. The application should be sent to the Douglas County
Clerk, 1819 Farnam, Room H08, Omaha, NE 68183.
There
are no publication requirements for a Special Designated
Liquor License but it does require County Board approval.
Once the Clerks office receives the application we
will submit to the Board for approval on their Tuesday agenda.
The application must be received by 9:00 a.m. on the Monday
before the Board meeting to get on the Tuesday agenda. The
Commissioners will review the application at their meeting
and make a recommendation for approval or denial. After
the meeting their recommendation is forwarded to the Nebraska
Liquor Control Commission along with the application materials.
The
final application is sent back to the County Clerks
office. We will contact you when the license comes in. It
can be picked up at our office or will be sent to you certified
mail.
Effective
August 1, 2000, the Nebraska Liquor Control Commission will
not accept special designated license applications received
less than 10 working days (excluding holidays) prior to
the date of the event. It is mandatory that a person get
their application to the County Clerks office at least
45 working days prior to the date of the event. This gives
the event a safety margin should there be any problems during
the process of the application. In addition, the County
Board has certain dates that it does not meet. Click here for the dates the County Board does not meet.

Tobacco
License
The
